World Cup 2024/25: Willingen
After a disappointing weekend in Oberstdorf, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in his home event in Willingen, Germany. On Friday, Germany fielded Andreas Wellinger, Philipp Raimund, Selina Freitag and Katharina Schmid in the Mixed Team. Andreas, who jumped fourth in the German team lineup, jumped 127.0 m in the 1st Round and 130.0 m in the Final Round. Germany finished 3rd with a total score of 988.8 points, behind Norway and Austria. On Saturday, Andreas qualified 20th in the qualification, jumping 128.0 m and scoring 118.3 points. In the 1st Round he ranked 20th, jumping 126.5 m and scoring 117.3 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he ranked 17th, jumping 133.0 m, scoring 125.4 points and scoring 242.7 points in total. Finally, on Sunday, Andreas qualified 10th in the qualification, jumping 130.0 m and scoring 112.8 points. In the 1st Round he ranked 10th, jumping 142.0 m and scoring 136.4 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he ranked 12th, jumping 138.5 m, scoring 132.8 points and scoring 269.2 points in total. A weekend to forget for Andreas Wellinger. He struggles to fight and reach the top 10, but his jumps are at his level and he has to fix some points during the flight and landing. But he has no intention of giving up.
