World Cup 2024/25: Titisee-Neustadt
Fourth seasonal appointment, in which the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take on his home event, that of Titisee-Neustadt, in Germany. On Friday, Germany fielded Andreas Wellinger and Pius Paschke in the Super Team. Andreas, who jumped first in the German team lineup, jumped 138.5 m in the 1st Round, 137.0 m in the 2nd Round and 137.0 m in the Final Round. Germany ranked 1st with a total score of 873.3 points, ahead of Austria and Norway. On Saturday, Andreas qualified 17th in the qualification, jumping 125.0 m and scoring 118.8 points. In the 1st Round he placed 3rd, jumping 140.0 m and scoring 140.8 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he placed 4th, jumping 134.0 m, scoring 139.2 points and scoring 280.0 points in total. Finally, on Sunday, Andreas qualified 30th in the qualification, jumping 124.5 m and scoring 121.1 points, the same score as Finland's Antti Aalto. In the 1st Round he ranked 19th, jumping 130.0 m and scoring 127.8 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he ranked 14th, jumping 136.0 m, scoring 136.7 points and with a total score of 264.5 points. Andreas Wellinger had a weekend of ups and downs. The podium in the Super Team on Friday, the one-point miss on Saturday and the judges’ repeated decisions on the gate change in Round 1 that confused Andreas on Sunday. However, he is still there in the top 10 in the overall standings.
