World Cup 2024/25: Sapporo

From the United States of America we fly to the Land of the Rising Sun, where the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the event in Sapporo, Japan. On Friday, Andreas qualified 26th in the qualification, jumping 120.0 m and scoring 96.8 points. On Saturday, he placed 18th in the 1st Round, jumping 125.5 m and scoring 109.3 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round, he placed 24th, jumping 113.0 m, scoring 107.1 and scoring 216.4 points. Finally, on Sunday, Andreas qualified 7th in the qualification, jumping 130.0 m and scoring 120.2 points. In the 1st Round he ranked 4th, jumping 129.0 m and scoring 125.8 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he ranked 9th, jumping 121.5 m, scoring 122.9 points and scoring 248.7 points in total. A bittersweet weekend for Andreas Wellinger. Bad in Friday's qualification and Saturday's competition, better on Sunday. The weekend is not to be thrown away, but considering that Andreas is back in the top 10 after the disappointing results he had obtained in the previous competitions, which is positive from his point of view. There is room for improvement.

Until next time!
