World Cup 2024/25: Lake Placid

From Willingen, Germany, we fly overseas, where the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the event in Lake Placid, USA. On Saturday, Andreas qualified 19th in the qualification, jumping 119.5 m and scoring 122.9 points. In the 1st Round he finished 11th, jumping 119.0 m and scoring 121.1 points, which was enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 16th, jumping 116.5 m, scoring 113.3 points and with a total score of 234.4 points. In the Mixed Team Germany fielded Andreas Wellinger, Philipp Raimund, Selina Freitag and Agnes Reisch. Andreas, who jumped fourth in the German team lineup, jumped 119.0 m in the 1st Round and 124.5 m in the Final Round. Germany finished 1st, with a total score of 963.6 points, ahead of Norway and Austria. Finally, on Sunday, Andreas qualified 13th in the qualification, jumping 120.0 m and scoring 128.8 points. In the 1st Round he ranked 10th, jumping 122.5 m and scoring 124.9 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he ranked 11th, jumping 125.0 m, scoring 122.6 points and scoring 247.5 points in total. A weekend of mixed emotions for Andreas Wellinger. If the individual competitions went so-so, he can console himself with the podium obtained in the Mixed Team. He has now given up in the general classification and the only goal that Andreas has is to always give his best.

Until next time!
