World Cup 2023/24: Willingen
After the Ski Flying World Championships which was held in Kulm, we return to the World Cup in which the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in his home event, that of Willingen, Germany. On Friday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 8th, jumping 139.5 m and scoring 118.3 points. On Saturday, in the 1st Round he placed 7th, jumping 138.5 m and scoring 109.2 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he placed 17th, jumping 125.5 m, with a score of 87.3 points and with a total score of 196.5 points. Finally, on Sunday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 20th, jumping 124.5 m and scoring 90.2 points. In the 1st Round he placed 7th, jumping 139.0 m and scoring 111.3 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he placed 1st, jumping 149.0 m, with a score of 126.3 points and with a total score of 237.6 points. Despite the fact that the wind put him in difficulty throughout the weekend, Andreas Wellinger took home a victory and important points in the standings so as not to lose sight of Stefan Kraft.
