Polski Tour 2024: Zakopane

 


Third and final event of the Polski Tour, in which the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the event in Zakopane, Poland. On Friday, Andreas qualified 2nd in the qualification, jumping 139.5 m and scoring 154.8 points. On Saturday, Germany fielded Andreas Wellinger, Pius Paschke, Stephan Leyhe and Karl Geiger in the Team Competition. Andreas, who jumped fourth in the German line up, jumped 138.5 m in the 1st Round and 137.5 m in the Final Round. Germany placed 3rd, with a total score of 1062.8 points. Finally, on Sunday, in the 1st Round he placed 6th, jumping 135.5 m and with a score of 163.7 points, the same score as the Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he placed 2nd, jumping 137.0 m, with a score of 164.1 points and with a total score of 327.8 points. Super positive weekend for Andreas Wellinger, who took home two podiums, one in the team and one in the individual, and has no intention of giving up to chase Stefan Kraft in the general classification.
