Summer Grand Prix 2023: Klingenthal
After having had an excellent weekend in Hinzenbach, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the last event of the Summer Grand Prix, at home in Klingenthal, Germany. On Friday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 6th, jumping 138.0 m and scoring 142.7 points. On Saturday, in the 1st Round he placed 11th, jumping 127.5 m and scoring 124.8 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he placed 8th, jumping 137.5 m, with a score of 139.8 points and with a total score of 264.6 points. Finally, on Sunday, Germany fielded Andreas Wellinger, Martin Hamann, Selina Freitag and Katharina Schmid in Team Mixed. Andreas, who jumped fourth in the German team line up, jumped 132.5 m in the 1st Round and 133.0 m in the Final Round. Germany placed 1st, with a total score of 976.2 points, ahead of Japan and Austria. Andreas Wellinger takes home a victory in Team Mixed and confirms himself as one of the favorites for the World Cup 2023/24 season.
