Summer Grand Prix 2023: Hinzenbach

 


After the summer break, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger returns to compete by taking part in the penultimate event of the Summer Grand Prix, that of Hinzenbach, Austria. On Saturday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 2nd, jumping 94.5 m and scoring 127.9 points. In the 1st Round he placed 1st, jumping 92.0 m and scoring 128.8 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he placed 1st, jumping 90.5 m, with a score of 134.1 points and with a total score of 262.9 points. This means that he won the composition, ahead of his teammate Stephan Leyhe and the Austrian Daniel Tschofenig. Finally, on Sunday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 2nd, jumping 88.0 m and scoring 121.4 points. In the 1st Round he placed 5th, jumping 87.5 m and scoring 121.1 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he placed 4th, jumping 88.5 m, with a score of 121.7 points and with a total score of 242.8 points. Andreas Wellinger is back exactly as he left him in the 2022/23 World Cup season, i.e. in perfect shape. He takes home a victory and a decidedly positive weekend.
