Four Hills Tournament 2025/26: Garmisch-Partenkirchen

 


Second of the four events of the Four Hills Tournament, in which the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in his second home event, the one in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. On Wednesday, Andreas qualified 27th in the qualification, jumping 124.5 m and scoring 119.4 points, the same score as his teammate Ben Bayer. Finally, on Thursday, in the 1st Round he challenged the Norwegian Robin Pedersen in a knockout, losing the duel. He ranked 32nd, jumping 124.5 m and with a score of 111.2 points, not enough to qualify for the Final Round. Andreas Wellinger also had two days to forget in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. He's struggling even more than the others and needs more training to get back on top of the world.

Ski Jumping World Championships 2025: Trondheim

  The World Cup takes a break to make room for the Ski Jumping World Championships, where the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is set to take part in the event in Trondheim, Norway. On Saturday, March 1st, Andreas qualified 2nd in the qualification of normal hill, jumping 105.5 m and with a score of 138.2 points. On Sunday, March 2, he placed 2nd in the 1st Round, jumping 106.5 m and scoring 133.9 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round, he placed 2nd, jumping 104.5 m, scoring 129.3 points and scoring 263.2 points in total. On Wednesday, March 5, Germany fielded Andreas Wellinger, Philipp Raimund, Katharina Schmid and Selina Freitag in the Mixed Team. Andreas, who jumped fourth in the German team lineup, jumped 125.5 m in the 1st Round and 139.0 m in the Final Round. Germany finished 4th with a total score of 899.0 points. On Thursday, March 6, Germany fielded Andreas Wellinger, Karl Geiger, Stephan Leyhe and Philipp Raimund in the Team Competition. And...

Raw Air Tournament 2025: Oslo

  First stage of the Raw Air Tournament, where the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the event in Oslo, Norway. On Thursday, Andreas qualified 2nd in the qualification, jumping 125.5 m and scoring 120.2 points. In the 1st Round he ranked 2nd, jumping 125.5 m and scoring 125.2 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he ranked 7th, jumping 125.0 m, scoring 124.7 points and with a total score of 249.9 points. Positive day for Andreas Wellinger, who despite the wind managed to rank in the top 10, but with jumps below his expectations.  Until next time!

Summer Grand Prix 2025: Predazzo

  After his holidays and training, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the event (the test event for the Winter Olympics Milan-Cortina 2026) in Predazzo, Italy. On Thursday, Andreas placed 20th in the 1st Round on normal hill, jumping 98.0 m and scoring 121.2 points, enough to qualify for the final round. In the final round, he placed 22nd, jumping 94.0 m, scoring 114.0 points, for a total score of 235.2 points. On Friday, Andreas qualified 20th in the large hill qualification, jumping 130.0 m and scoring 121.5 points. Finally, on Saturday, he placed 23rd in the 1st Round, jumping 130.0 m and scoring 126.0 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round, he placed 23rd, jumping 131.5 m, scoring 126.8 points, for a total score of 252.8 points. It wasn't a great weekend for Andreas Wellinger, but he'll have time to improve.
