World Cup 2022/23: Willingen
The German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in his home event in Willingen, Germany. On Friday, Germany fielded Andreas Wellinger, Selina Freitag, Karl Geiger and Katharina Althaus. Andreas, who jumped fourth in the line up of the German team, jumped 135.5 m in the 1st Round, while the Final Round was canceled due to wind. Germany finished 3rd, with a total score of 409.8 points, behind Norway and Austria. On Saturday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 10th, jumping 130.0 m and with a score of 135.2 points. In the 1st Round he finished 8th, jumping 132.0 m and scoring 129.7 points, which was enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 10th, jumping 132.5 m, with a score of 125.7 points and a total score of 255.4 points. Finally, on Sunday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 13th, jumping 123.5 m and with a score of 103.4 points. In the 1st Round he finished 9th, jumping 132.0 m and scoring 110.6 points, which was enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 11th, jumping 131.0 m, with a score of 107.3 points and a total score of 217.9 points. The qualification that was scheduled for Friday had been postponed to Saturday due to wind. For Andreas Wellinger the Willingen weekend didn't go as he hoped, but he takes home the podium in the Team Mixed. Currently he is the best in the German team this season.
