World Cup 2022/23: Sapporo

 


After the podium obtained in the Team Competition in Zakopane, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger takes part in the event in Sapporo, Japan. On Friday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 4th, jumping 130.5 m and with a score of 120.0 points. In the 1st Round he finished 5th, jumping 133.5 m and scoring 134.9 points, which was enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 8th, jumping 122.0 m, with a score of 110.4 points and a total score of 245.3 points. On Saturday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 6th, jumping 135.5 m and with a score of 135.5 points. In the 1st Round he finished 16th, jumping 130.0 m and scoring 124.3 points, which was enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 7th, jumping 130.0 m, with a score of 126.9 points and a total score of 251.2 points. Finally, on Sunday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 5th, jumping 137.0 m and with a score of 132.6 points. In the 1st Round he finished 26th, jumping 125.0 m and scoring 106.3 points, same score as Poland's Aleksander Zniszczol, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 12th, jumping 142.5 m, with a score of 132.3 points and a total score of 238.6 points. Andreas Wellinger's jumps have been solid all weekend and he will continue to hope for a podium finish in the individual.
