World Cup 2022/23: Wisla

 


The World Cup 2022/23 season is upon us and the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is just about to take part in the first event of the season, namely that of Wisla, Poland. On Friday, Andreas qualified 38th in qualifying, jumping 117.0 m and scoring 115.3 points. On Saturday, in the 1st Round he finished 30th, jumping 117.5 m and with a score of 105.9 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 23rd, jumping 124.5 m, with a score of 115.3 points and a total score of 221.2 points. Finally, on Sunday, Andreas qualified 16th in qualifying, jumping 125.5 m and scoring 127.3 points. In the 1st Round he finished 22nd, jumping 123.5 m and scoring 125.2 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 25th, jumping 123.0 m, with a score of 122.5 points and a total score of 247.7 points. Andreas Wellinger's season started below expectations with a weekend that put him to the test between the weather and the wind, but the championship has only just begun and he will surely have the chance to prove his talent.
