World Cup 2022/23: Ruka

 


The German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the second World Cup event of the season in Ruka, Finland. On Saturday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 23rd, jumping 135.0 m and with a score of 138.3 points. In the 1st Round he finished 17th, jumping 137.5 m and scoring 135.2 points, which was enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 14th, jumping 137.0 m, with a score of 139.7 points and a total score of 274.9 points. Finally, on Sunday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 31st, jumping 123.0 m and with a score of 110.9 points. In the 1st Round he finished 17th, jumping 133.5 m and scoring 129.6 points, which was enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 7th, jumping 143.0 m, with a score of 148.2 points and a total score of 277.8 points. The qualification, which was scheduled for Friday, had been postponed to Saturday morning due to the delay in the arrival of the German ski jumping team's equipment. Andreas Wellinger lived the weekend in a bittersweet way and will certainly have other chances to get back on the podium in the World Cup after fasting for three years.
