Summer Grand Prix 2022: Klingenthal
The Summer Grand Prix is drawing to a close in sight for the winter season and German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the home event, which is Klingenthal, Germany. On Friday, Andreas qualified 5th in the qualification, jumping 135.0 m and scoring 137.3 points. On Saturday, Germany lined up Andreas Wellinger, Selina Freitag, Katharina Althaus and Karl Geiger in Team Mixed. Andreas, who jumped second in the German team's line up, jumped 132.0 m in the 1st Round and 133.0 m in the Final Round. Germany finished 2nd, behind Norway and ahead of Slovenia. Finally, on Sunday, in the 1st Round Andreas finished 13th, jumping 126.5 m and with a score of 107.4 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 5th, jumping 136.0 m, with a score of 135.0 points and a total score of 242.4 points. Andreas Wellinger is still proving to be competitive and neither the weather nor the wind hasn't stopped him. But he takes the podium of Team Mixed home. He is on the right track and in the winter season he will be very competitive.
