World Cup 2021/22: Ruka

 


After the windy weekend of Nizhny Tagil, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to redeem himself in the second event of the season, that of Ruka, Finland. On Friday, Andreas qualified 29th in qualifying, jumping 128.5 m and scoring 130.8 points. On Saturday, in the 1st Round he finished 31st, jumping 123.5 m and with a score of 125.0 points, not enough to qualify for the Final Round. Finally, on Sunday, Andreas qualified 20th in qualifying, jumping 132.0 m and scoring 134.0 points. In the 1st Round he finished 11th, jumping 132.5 m and scoring 142.7 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 10th, jumping 138.5 m, with a score of 138.8 points and a total score of 281.5 points. Andreas is improving, but there is still the margin to take away.
