World Cup 2021/22: Engelberg

After the weekend of ups and downs in Klingenthal, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the fifth seasonal event of the World Cup, which is Engelberg, Switzerland. On Saturday, in the 1st Round he finished 43rd, jumping 116.0 m and with a score of 100.0 points, not enough to qualify for the Final Round. Finally, on Sunday, Andreas qualified 42nd in qualifying, jumping 111.5 m and scoring 102.2 points. In the 1st Round he finished 24th, jumping 122.0 m and scoring 127.6 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 18th, jumping 131.0 m, with a score of 130.7 points and a total score of 258.3 points. For Andreas Wellinger it was a subdued and disappointing weekend, but the golden eagle German has no intention of giving up and will have other opportunities to redeem himself.

Until next time!
