The first of four events in the Four Hills Tournament, in which the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in his home event, the one in Oberstdorf, Germany. On Sunday, Andreas qualified 39th in the qualification, jumping 117.0 m and scoring 102.4 points. Finally, on Monday, in the 1st Round he challenged his teammate Felix Hoffmann in a k.o., losing the challenge, he ranked 48th, jumping 110.5 m and with a score of 102.5 points, and therefore was not fished out in the Lucky Loser to qualify for the Final Round. Andreas Wellinger returned with the same problems as before: disastrous jumps and disappointing results. Not a great start to the Four Hills Tournament. There's a lot of work to do. Until next time!
Second of the four events of the Four Hills Tournament, in which the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in his second home event, the one in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. On Wednesday, Andreas qualified 27th in the qualification, jumping 124.5 m and scoring 119.4 points, the same score as his teammate Ben Bayer. Finally, on Thursday, in the 1st Round he challenged the Norwegian Robin Pedersen in a knockout, losing the duel. He ranked 32nd, jumping 124.5 m and with a score of 111.2 points, not enough to qualify for the Final Round. Andreas Wellinger also had two days to forget in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. He's struggling even more than the others and needs more training to get back on top of the world. Until next time!
After his holidays and training, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the event (the test event for the Winter Olympics Milan-Cortina 2026) in Predazzo, Italy. On Thursday, Andreas placed 20th in the 1st Round on normal hill, jumping 98.0 m and scoring 121.2 points, enough to qualify for the final round. In the final round, he placed 22nd, jumping 94.0 m, scoring 114.0 points, for a total score of 235.2 points. On Friday, Andreas qualified 20th in the large hill qualification, jumping 130.0 m and scoring 121.5 points. Finally, on Saturday, he placed 23rd in the 1st Round, jumping 130.0 m and scoring 126.0 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round, he placed 23rd, jumping 131.5 m, scoring 126.8 points, for a total score of 252.8 points. It wasn't a great weekend for Andreas Wellinger, but he'll have time to improve. However, he got a taste of the Predazzo ski jumps, and his goal is to compete in the Winter Olympics Milan-Cort...
