Andreas Wellinger Injured Again


The Olympic champion the Golden Eagle German Andreas Wellinger, who is working on his comeback after the ACL tear he suffered last summer, has now sustained another injury. This time not on a hill, but while surfing on vacation.

As the 24-year-old announced on social media on Thursday, he fractured his collarbone during his vacation in Australia recently.

"After he fractured the collarbone while surfing, I've already had surgery Down Under - everything went well. Now the next few weeks will be different for me than I had planned. But somehow that's the case for all of us right now ...", Andreas Wellinger wrote on Facebook.

Originally it was planned that the Bavarian should return to the hill early April, now this comeback has to be delayed not only due to the current restrictions but also because of the injury.

Another injury means that his return has continued. Andreas, a distraction has knocked you out. No more distractions.
