After the disappointment of Hinzenback, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the final event of the 2025 Summer Grand Prix, and at his home event, in Klingenthal, Germany. On Saturday, Andreas finished 15th in the qualification round, jumping 124.5 m and scoring 121.0 points, the same score as Bulgarian Vladimir Zografski. In the first round, he finished 23rd, jumping 117.0 m and scoring 104.2 points, enough to qualify for the final round. In the final round, he finished 26th, jumping 123.0 m, scoring 95.6 points, for a total score of 199.8 points. A weekend to forget for Andreas Wellinger, who certainly didn't want the 2025 Summer Grand Prix to end with disappointing results. However, he already knows where he needs to improve and is looking forward to the 2025/26 World Cup in November.  Until next time!

In the 1st Round, he was disqualified due to the size of his suit (it was 2 cm too long). Finally, on Sunday, in the 1st Round, Andreas placed 10th, jumping 87.0 m and scoring 109.7 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round, he placed 7th, jumping 89.5 m, scoring 116.6 points, for a total score of 226.3 points. A bittersweet weekend for Andreas Wellinger. The last time he was disqualified from a competition was in 2014, when he was disqualified in Hinzenbach during the qualification round for the same reason: suit size. Eleven years without a disqualification, until now. Ironically, he was disqualified from the same hill eleven years later, also at the Summer ...
