World Cup 2022/23: Kulm

  After a positive weekend in Sapporo, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the event in Kulm, Austria. On Friday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 2nd, jumping 230.5 m and with a score of 205.0 points. On Saturday, in the 1st Round, he finished 9th, jumping 209.0 m and scoring 184.7 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 9th, jumping 206.0 m, with a score of 185.1 points and a total score of 369.8 points. Finally, on Sunday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 5th, jumping 224.0 m and with a score of 228.5 points. In the 1st Round he finished 4th, jumping 230.0 m and scoring 219.6 points, which was enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 4th, jumping 230.0 m, with a score of 212.7 points and a total score of 432.3 points.   After the podium obtained in the Team Competition in Zakopane, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger takes part in the event in Sapporo, Japan. On Friday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 4th, jumping 130.5 m and with a score of 120.0 points. In the 1st Round he finished 5th, jumping 133.5 m and scoring 134.9 points, which was enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 8th, jumping 122.0 m, with a score of 110.4 points and a total score of 245.3 points. On Saturday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 6th, jumping 135.5 m and with a score of 135.5 points. In the 1st Round he finished 16th, jumping 130.0 m and scoring 124.3 points, which was enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 7th, jumping 130.0 m, with a score of 126.9 points and a total score of 251.2 points.   After his mostly positive performance at the Four Hills Tournament, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the World Cup event in Zakopane, Poland. On Friday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 4th, jumping 135.5 m and with a score of 142.2 points. On Saturday, Germany fielded Karl Geiger, Andreas Wellinger, Philipp Raimund and Markus Eisenbichler in Team Competition. Andreas, who jumped fourth in the line up of the German team, jumped 125.5m in the 1st Round and 131.5 m in the Final Round. Team Germany finished 3rd, with a total score of 1144.4 points, behind Austria and Poland. Finally, on Sunday, in the 1st Round Andreas finished 7th, jumping 133.0 m and scoring 129.1 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. Four Hills Tournament 2022/23: Bischofshofen

  Fourth and final stage of the Four Hills Tournament, in which the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger takes part in the event in Bischofshofen, Austria. On Thursday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 24th, jumping 124.0 m and with a score of 125.0 points. Finally, on Friday, in the 1st Round he challenged the Japanese Naoki Nakamura in the KO, winning the duel, in which he finished 20th, jumping 131.5 m and with a score of 137.7, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 20th, jumping 130.0 m, with a score of 129.7 points and a total score of 267.4 points. Andreas Wellinger, as happened in Innsbruck, also in Bischofshofen was below expectations, despite the fact that his jumps were at his level. He will have to figure out how to improve to get back to fighting for the podium.  Until next time!

Four Hills Tournament 2022/23: Innsbruck

  Third stage of the Four Hills Tournament, in which the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger takes part in the event in Innsbruck, Austria. On Tuesday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 15th, jumping 118.0 m and with a score of 103.8 points. Finally, on Wednesday, in the 1st Round he challenged the Japanese Yukiya Sato, winning the duel, in which he classified 17th, jumping 120.0 m and with a score of 112.1 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 18th, jumping 114.0 m, with a score of 106.0 points and a total score of 218.1 points. Compared to Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Parterkirchen, the one in Innsbruck for Andreas Wellinger was tough and with jumps below expectations. He'll do better next time.  Until next time!

  Second stage of the Four Hills Tournament in which the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the second consecutive home event, the one in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. On Saturday, in the qualification Andreas qualified 19th, jumping 126.5 m and with a score of 120.2 points. Finally, on Sunday, in the 1st Round he challenged the Austrian Philipp Aschenwald, winning the duel, in which he finished 5th, jumping 137.0 m and scoring 136.7 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 8th, jumping 133.0 m, with a score of 136.4 points and a total score of 273.1 points. Andreas Wellinger is continuously growing with solid results and jumps within his reach. If he continues at this pace, he'll be on the podium very soon.  Until next time!
