World Cup 2021/22: Nizhny Tagil

  The World Cup 2021/22 season begins and German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the first stage of the season, namely Nizhny Tagil, Russia. On Friday, Andreas qualified 48th in qualifying, jumping 99.5 m and scoring 72.3 points. On Saturday, in the 1st Round he finished 31st, jumping 114.0 m and with a score of 93.8 points, not enough to qualify for the Final Round. Finally, on Sunday, Andreas qualified 22nd in qualifying, jumping 111.5 m and scoring 86.5 points. In the 1st Round, he finished 18th, jumping 119.5 m and scoring 102.5 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 17th, jumping 117.0 m, with a score of 95.9 points and a final score of 198.4 points. The Nizhny Tagil event was characterized by the wind and not only put Andreas in difficulty, but also the other ski jumpers. Summer Grand Prix 2021: Klingenthal

  Last act of the Summer Grand Prix, which will take place in Klingenthal, Germany, in which the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger will try to get results. On Friday, Andreas qualified 10th in qualifying, jumping 136.0 m and scoring 137.8 points. On Saturday, in the 1st Round he finished 19th, jumping 126.0 m and scoring 113.7 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 19th, jumping 129.0 m, with a score of 120.7 points and a final score of 234.4 points. It was not a weekend that Andreas expected and his results were affected by the wind and by the impossible conditions from a meteorological point of view. Summer Grand Prix 2021: Hinzenbach

  The German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is back in action to compete at the Summer Grand Prix event in Hinzenbach, Austria. On Friday, Andreas qualified 7th in qualifying, jumping 85.5 m and scoring 123.1 points. On Saturday, in the 1st Round he finished 3rd, jumping 89.0 m and scoring 120.3 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 5th, jumping 85.5 m, with 121.4 points and a total score of 241.7 points. Andreas fought for the podium, but he came close. He is in great shape and his weekend was positive. He is returning to be among the best.   Until next time!

Summer Grand Prix 2021: Courchevel

  The German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to compete in the second stage of the Summer Grand Prix 2021, namely that of Courchevel, in France. In the qualification, called the prologue, he qualified 36th, jumping 107.5 m and scoring 66.2 points. In the 1st Round he finished 7th, jumping 131.0 m and scoring 98.0 points and thus qualified for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 13th, jumping 122.0 m, with a score of 104.6 points and a total score of 202.6 points. All in all Andreas did a good job and he is slowly returning to being completely competitive. If he continues to improve, he will soon return to both the podium and victory, but the road is still long and there is time to get back to the top of the world.   Until next time!

  After a long absence of almost 5 months, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is back in action to take part in the Summer Grand Prix event in Wisla, Poland. On Friday, in qualification he qualified 19th, jumping 123.5 m and with a score of 111.9 points. On Saturday, in the First Round he finished 26th, jumping 115.5 m, with a score of 107.0 points, and thus qualified for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 23rd, jumping 113.0 m, with a score of 101.5 points and a total score of 208.5 points. Finally, on Sunday, in the qualification, called prologue, he qualified 34th, jumping 110.5 m and with a score of 79.7 points. In the First Round he finished 22nd, jumping 120.0 m, scoring 107.5 points, and thus qualified for the Final Round. In the Final Round, he finished 21st, jumping 121.0 m, with a score of 112.0 points and a total score of 219.5 points. Hot weekend, but Andreas was a little rusty. Season Over For Andreas Wellinger

  Olympic champion and runner-up, two-time world runner-up, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger, will not appear again this winter. This decision was made by coach Stefan Horngacher, seeing no sense in continuing his charges about him in the current season. "In the case of Andy Wellinger, we treat this situation a bit like that, from now on, he is starting the preparations for the next season from scratch. His jumps di lui are still average, not as good as we would like", explains Horngacher, quoted by DPA. Winter 2020/21 is a series of continuous failures for Wellinger, recovering from a cruciate ligament rupture for weeks and months.
