Season Over For Andreas Wellinger

Immagine
Olympic champion and runner-up, two-time world runner-up, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger, will not appear again this winter. This decision was made by coach Stefan Horngacher, seeing no sense in continuing his charges about him in the current season. "In the case of Andy Wellinger, we treat this situation a bit like that, from now on, he is starting the preparations for the next season from scratch. His jumps di lui are still average, not as good as we would like", explains Horngacher, quoted by DPA. Winter 2020/21 is a series of continuous failures for Wellinger, recovering from a cruciate ligament rupture for weeks and months. He started the season with starts in the World Cup, but due to very poor results, he was finally delegated to the Continental Cup, and then to the FIS Cup rankings. He won his only three points in the International Ski Federation rank in Szczyrk in the FIS Cup competition. It was there, on 19 and 20 January, for the last time he appeared at...

The German team relegated German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger to the Continental Cup (COC) to compete in Innsbruck, Austria. On Saturday morning in the 1st Round he finished 50th, jumping 107.0 m and scoring 84.2 points, but it wasn't enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the afternoon, he finished 42nd in 1st Round, jumping 106.5 m and scoring 88.3 points, but it wasn't enough to qualify for the Final Round. Something is wrong here. Andreas's results so far are depressing and disappointing. However, it has not yet been understood where the problem lies, whether it is physical or psychological. Dear Andreas, you have to improve if you want to return to the World Cup. Until next time!

He will have to get out of this negative moment if he wants to go back to fighting among the best.   Until next time!

Here we go again. Andreas doesn't like the results. One thing must be specified. Before the qualification there was a COVID-19 case by a Polish ski jumper, Klemens Muranka, who had tested positive. Both he and his teammates were excluded from the event. But after the qualification it was discovered that Muranka had tested negative for COVID-19. The results of the qualification are valid and official. The next day, the Polish team was reinstated to the event to participate in the 1st Round with all 62 ski jumpers in attendance, including those who had...
