Continental Cup 2021/22: Rena

  The German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger takes part in the Continental Cup event in Rena, Norway. On Saturday, in the 1st Round he finished 13th, jumping 124.0 m and scoring 121.5 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 11th, jumping 128.0 m, with a score of 121.3 points and a total score of 242.8 points. Finally, on Sunday, in the 1st Round he finished 11th, jumping 131.5 m and with a score of 129.9 points, the same score as the Austrian Thomas Lackner and the Slovenian Anže Semenič, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 7th, jumping 132.5 m, with a score of 138.9 points and a total score of 268.8 points, the same score as the Austrian Thomas Lackner. Andreas is no longer used to taking part in the Continental Cup events, but will be back to compete in the World Cup very soon.  Until next time!

World Cup 2021/22: Willingen

  After recovering from Covid-19 and tested negative for the swab, the German ski jumper Andreas Wellinger is ready to take part in the World Cup event at home, namely that of Willingen, Germany.  On Friday, in the qualification, called prologue, Andreas qualified 16th, jumping 129.0 m and scoring 111.2 points. On Saturday, in the 1st Round he finished 12th, jumping 129.0 m and scoring 87.8 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. The Final Round was canceled due to strong winds and the result of the 1st Round becomes official. Finally, on Sunday, the qualification was canceled due to the wind. In the 1st Round Andreas finished 25th, jumping 124.0 m and scoring 87.9 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 22nd, jumping 125.5 m, with a score of 82.4 points and a total score of 170.3 points. For Andreas it was a bit of a subdued weekend, but he takes home important points for the standings.  Until next time!
